Sandra Cochran RN MSN CRNP CWOCN
I am beyond excited to be given such a wonderful opportunity to join Dr. Amenta and her staff as a new Nurse Practitioner. My journey began over 27 years ago as an undergrad student at Widener University. Graduating with my RN BSN, I spent most of my career at Fox Chase Cancer Center working with mostly surgical oncology patients. In 2005, I attended La Salle University where I obtained a speciality certificate in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nursing and became nationally board certified. In that role I was able to create a support group for patients with ostomies and develop a wound clinic where patients with challenging wounds were cared for as an outpatient. I have performed many literature reviews on evidence base practice and published in areas specific to the field of WOCNursing. I’ve had the pleasure of presenting on many of these topics at different nursing conferences and even developed an internal web site as a resource for staff. My education continued at La Salle University where I graduated with my masters in nursing, 2014, and obtained my certification as an Adult/Gero Nurse Practitioner.
I have lived in the Bucks County area majority of my life and enjoy all that is has to offer. We have two teenage children, a son who attends University of South Carolina and is a proud “Gamecock” and a daughter who will be entering her senior year of high school. Both have hopes of pursuing a future in the medical field. As a hockey mom, both our children have played ice hockey for many years and I have truly enjoyed being on the sidelines as one of their biggest fans!
I look forward to the relationships I will build with those who walk through these doors and hope, together, we can obtain the best possible health and well being for each of you.
